This is the on-line web site that helps students prepare for up-coming MCAS. Students can get to this website at home, school, the library, whenever the internet is available. Other topics include science, story-telling, chess, and various arts and crafts SPAGHETTI SUPPER: Don't miss the fun of the annual Spaghetti Supper on Friday night, February 3 at the Marstons Mills School Cafe. The menu includes Prince Spaghetti,Meatballs and Sauce donated by Sienna's of Mashpee, Salad, Garlic Bread and Home Made Desserts. This year the three part language arts assessments will take place between March 27th and April 7th. The two-part MCAS Mathematics will be administered between May 15th and June 2nd. These are very important test that will help teachers to instruct your child in the most effective manners. There are no make up sessions for the reading com- prehension or the math assessments so it is very important that families do not plan any non-emergency medical ap- pointments or "extra" family vacations during those periods. Please be sure to mark those dates on your calendar. GRADE THREE ARTIST IN RESIDENCE PROGRAM: On Monday, January 30th, Angela Klingler will be starting her "Artist in Residence" session for the third grade at Hyannis West. It will run through Thursday February 2nd. Ms. Klingler is a storyteller who came to our school in November as part of our "Cul- tural Enrichment" program. The students enjoyed her very much. Ms. Klingler will be going to each third grade classroom every day, teaching the students about the art of oral story telling, and helping them develop their own stories. It should prove to be a very enriching experience.
