French Concorde has echoed on
Britain 's west coast ten times In
1970. So far there have been 578
complaints and 332 claims for

What Is the British-French Con-

Congressman Keith says we have
got to have if we want "new sch-
ools, more housing, better educa-

Mr. Keith is consistently votin g
taxpayers' money to build the 1,

Mr. KeJlh may like noise. Cape
Codders don 't. The Cape Codcler
reminds Mr. Keith that the SST
was an issue in the November
election . Mr. Keith's opponent op-
posed it. Mr . Keith endorsed it.
Mr. Keith won by less than one
per cent of the vote.
Representative - elect Kendall
says he is ready to vote to keep
Mr. Keith' s SST from landing in
the Commonwealth. Mr. Kendall
has his ear to the ground swells

ARE SAYING
An organizational meeting was
held at the Shannon Room for
supporters of Arthur C. Goode ,
candidate for Selectman In the
Town of Barnstable March 6 elec-
tion.
About 50 men and women heard
Mr. Goode outline his positions on
some of the problems troubling
our community. He called the drug
problem one of the major issues
in this year's race. He said he
felt the Lombard Farm In West
Barnstable was not the answer.
Mr. Goode pointed out the need
for a centralized drug center. He
said, "There are many people in-
terested in this problem..and we
need professional guidance "
Mr. ( loprj e continued , "This is
only one of the many problems
that must be faced. 1 believe that
my 24 years of business back -
ground and 15 months experience
with Congressman Hastings Keith
as well as my many hours of local
service all add up to one conclu-

CONGREGATIONAL CHURCH
The seimon topic for Sunday,
Jan. 24, as announced by the pas-
tor , R:>v. Robert H. Sargent , Is
Good Guys Finish Last. During
Miss Virginia Fuller 's vacation ,
Mrs. John Filler is serving the
church as organist. Ushers will
be Messrs. Charles C. Holmes
and Harold F. Lombard , and the
irrcctcrs , Mr. and Mrs. Ronald
Johnson.
Members of the church will ga-
ther in the parish hall Monday
night , Jan. 25, at 6:30 for the an-
nual roll-call supper and meeting.
Reports of the past year 's work
tn the church will be given , elec-
tion of officers and committees
Cor the coming year held , and the
discussion and voting on impor-
tant business of the ' church trans-
acted. It is important that all
members be present. No reserva-
tions are necessary for the supper ,
which is being put on by the mem-
bers of the senior high fellowship.
The senior high youth group of
the church , in preparation for a
spring auction , is already collect-

ART ASSOCIATION
CLASSES START
Classes started this week in the
Recreation Building on Main Str-
eet sponsored by Cape Cod Art
Association in painting, covering
portraiture, still life , and composi-
tion . Instruction is in oils, water
color , and acrylics. All classes
will be continued through April ,,
according to present plans, with
sketching trips In the spring.

Sympathy Is extended to Frank
A. Hansen of this village In the
loss of his mother, Mrs, Louise
A. (Fistorl) Hansen of Cambridge.
Other survivors are a daughter ,
Mrs. Juanlta DeArenas of Bogota ,
Columbia , South America, and
five grandchildren. Funeral ser -
vices and burial were in Lexing-
ton.
Ernest Crocker of Bumps River
Road Is recuperating In the Cen-
terville Nursing Home following
hospitalization for back trouble.
Ernestine, his daughter , (Mrs.
John E. Monroe) , also of Bumps
River Road , is recovering from a
broken wrist sustained In an auto-
mobile accident.
Mrs. Stuart Baker of Phinney 's
Lane and her son and family,
Alan Baker of Marstons Mills , at-
tended the New England Camper-
Trailer Show al Suffolk Downs in
East Boston.
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Blanche
are putting the finishing touches
on their new home on Shoot Fly-
ing Hill Road.
CONFERENCE CENTER
Rev . J. Edward Elliot , recently
retired as pastor of First Congre-
gational Church of Harwich , is
interim director of the Craigville
Conference Center during the ab-
sence of Rev. and Mrs. Pierre D.
Vuillcumier , who are on an ex-
tended trip through the United
States.
Upon their return from this per-
iod of sabbatical leave, Dr. Vuil-
lcumier will assume the post of
director of the Craigville Center ,
wiih Mrs . Vullleumler as assis-
tant director . Dr. Vullleumler has
resigned from the post of area
minister of Southeastern Massa -
chusetts.
A former architect, Dr. Vuil-
lcumier plans to study contem-
porary church buildings while on
this trip. Before starting out on
this tour , the Vuilleumiers pur-
chased a well- equipped trailer
for their confort and convenience
in traveling. While away, their
home is being occupied by the
family of Mr. and Mrs. Jerome
Lennard of Newtonvllle .
OUR LADY OF
VICTORY GUILD
At the January meeting, mem-
bers of Our Lady of Victory Guild
of Centerville heard Miss Patricia
Lyons, Barnstable High junior ,
tell of a statewide move to send
letters to Hanoi requesting proper
treatment of U.S. prisoners held
hi Vietnam. The letters , either a
form to be signed or a personal
letter , will be collected at the
church on the weekend of Jan. 23.
Mrs. Dorothy McCann of Cape
Cod Extension Service gave a
talk entitled Happiness Is aiitt
suggested happiness be thought of
as a way of life rather than a
frame of mind. Mrs. McCann dem-
onstrated artistic table settings
using familiar objects in new ways .
Mrs. Anthony Silvestri announc-
ed the program for the Feb. 8
meeting will be an explanation of
the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass
with members of the Sisterhood
of Cape Cod Synagogue as guests
for the evening.
On March 22, the Most Rev.
Daniel A. Cronln DD,. S.S.T.D. ,
Bishop of Fall River, will cele-
brate Mass at Our Lady of Vic-
tory Church at 6 p.m. The guild
will sponsor a reception for the
bishop in the church hall follow-
ing the Mass. All parlshoners are
invited to attend.

The film deals with high blood
pressure and what happens In the
cases of two men who have It.
The Importance of checking blood
pressures Is strongly emphasized,
as there are several types of medi-
cation available to control the con-
dition known as hypertension.
Dr. Langdon Hooper of Barn-
stable , a physician member oJ
the local Heart Chapter , traced
the history of early treatment ol
high blood pressure . Literature on
the subject was distributed at the
close of the session.
