a free cocktail reception Jan. 22 from
3 to 5 p.m. at the Centerville Library

Teens invited to rec
nights
The YMCA of Cape Cod, Route
132 in West Barnstable, hosts a Kids
Night Out Program when children are
invited to swim, play sports, create
arts and crafts and more, each Friday
evening from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Staff-su-

IFAW classes and more
The International Fund for Animal
Welfare has an education center

kets
The NOAH Center emergency
shelter for adults needs blankets to
give away. New and used ones may

Items wanted for marine
rummage sale
The Osterville Historical Society
and Museum is seeking donations for
the next marine rummage sale over
Memorial Day weekend in 2006. If
you have something such as water
skis, anchors, oarlocks, fishing rods,
paddles, etc., which you can part
with stop by and make a donation or
call 508-428-5861 to arrange for pick
up.
Kindermusik for children
Preschool music classes for ages
18 months to four are ongoing at
the South Congregational Church in
Centerville for $9 a class. Kindergar-
ten-age children are invited to attend
Kindermusik Young Child classes
Tuesdays from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. at

CIGSYA activities
The Cape & Islands Gay & Straight
Youth Alliance has a dance room, cy-
ber center, library, TV room and game
room as well as other programs and
activities. There are monthly dances,
movie nights, pot-luck dinners, tutor-
ing and mentoring. CIGSYA is located
at 56 Barnstable Road in Hyannis
and serves people 22 and under.
Circle for Youth meets from 3 to 5:30
p.m. on Mondays at the club house.
Activities include creative writing,

Dance programs in West
Barnstable
The Cape Cod Conservatory on
Route 132 in Barnstable is offering
ballet, tap, jazz and belly dancing for

Robert Burns dinner and
dance
The Highland Light Scottish Soci-
ety holds a Robert Burns Supper and
Dance Jan. 28 to celebrate the Scot-
tish poet's birthday. Entertainment

Fiddle Champion Emerald Rae, fiddle,
accordion and more. A social hour
