Group for youths The Barnstable Youth Commission and its Youth Empowered Through Learning Leadership advisory group meet at 2 p.m. every first and third Thursday in room 2108 at Barnstable High School when ages 13 through 19 are invited to discuss issues affecting the young people of Barnstable. German-American Club members meet Members of the German-American Club generally meet the second Sat- urday at the Fraternal Lodge in Cen- terville. New members are welcome. The Jan. 20 film is Bewitched, the remake of the '60s sitcom. On Jan. 23 Meet Joe Black, a romantic fantasy, is on screen; then on Jan. 27 The Greatest Game Ever Played, a true story of an upset victory that changed the sport of golf, is shown. Renee Zellweger and Catherine Zeta-Jones star in Chicago on Jan. 30. Woods Hole film fest Films from the Woods Hole Film Festival will be featured in a series of dinners and screenings this winter at Cap'n Kidd's restaurant in Woods Hole. Dinner is served from 5:30 to 7:15 p.m. with the film shown at 7:30 p.m. Admission is $25 per person and includes dinner and the movie. On Jan. 22, see the feature- length drama Pearl Diver, abut two sisters who reconcile 20 years after their mother is murdered. On the 28th, there's a double feature- Other People's Pictures, about collectors of abandoned snapshots and Packrat , a personal look at a family's obses- sion with stuff. Cocktails are served at 6 p.m. fol- lowed by dinner at 6:30 p.m. The readings are at 8 p.m. Jamie Pachi- no's Splitting Infinity, the story of an astrophysicist who decides to prove or disprove the existence of God, is slated for Jan. 20 and 21. Jan. 22 and 28 the reading will be of John Kolvenback's On An Average Day, the dark comedy of two brothers reunited after 23 years. Admission is $35 for dinner and the reading.
