CONTINUED FROM PAGE C:1 Steve Harper and The Cap- tain's Doll , an adaptation of a D. H. Lawrence novella by Zinn himself, round out the season. "We get our plays from a multitude of sources," Zinn said. "We are constantly look- ing in every direction. We also have establishedconnections with different venues that know what we are looking for. It'sahuge task that is always an ongoing thing." Sometimes worldwide searches wind up just across the street. Zinn chuckles as he recalls how Kotis's Jobey & Katherine made it onto WHAT'S slate. "Every Sunday morning at Baker'sField (across from the WHAT theater in Wellfleet), there is a community pick-up soft ball game," Zinn said. "I was there with comedian Jimmy Tingle and our two 8-year-old sons warming up. This guywalksup asking what time the game was starting. He joined us, and after in- troducing ourselves to each other, we kinda both said , 'Waitaminute.Iknowwho you are.'Iwas pitching to him and Iliterallyyelled to himat home plate: 'So hey, do you have any other playsbeside Urinetown that you want to put on?' He said, 'As a matter of fact , I do have this play I wrote a long time ago.'" The evenings at Willy 's start at 6 with a cash-bar cocktail hour. At 6:30, dinner is served in the Hungry Tiger Cafe, with the play reading beginning at 8 p.m. The cost for the dinner and play is $35. There are also package plans for those who want to attend all six shows. The shows willbe presented Friday and Saturday nights from Jan. 20 through Feb. 25. On Feb. 25 at 2 p.m., there will be a special benefit perfor- mance of Harper 'sThe Escape of the Artist' s Children for the Cape and Islands NPR radio stations.
