Federal funds boost options for homeless Housing Assistance Cor- poration in Hyannis has received $154,854 in federal funds to acquire property for Kit Anderson House II, which will provide perma- nent housing for chronically homeless people. The effort will be backed with clinical support and case manage- ment services by the Duffy Health Center. The money is part of a $1,149,981 award from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development to the Leadership Council to End Homelessness on Cape Cod and the Islands. Finan- cial support was provided also to the original Kit An- derson House, to CHAMP Homes I and II, and to Legal Services of Cape Cod. Also benefiting were Shel- ter Plus Care programs foi homeless disabled citizens and the Homeless Manage- ment Information System, whichcoordinates client care and community homeless- ness data.
